Boomkin needs decent gear but hates PVP! How to get it?2010-03-29 00:00:00i agree with gale, the only other thing i could suggest is to get as much badge gear as quick as possible.
before the patch our drops were miserable in pretty much every raid up to SWP. now you can also roll on all the old healing gear, as it wont have much crit, it will definitely be an upgrade to a green or blue. also like i said, get all the badge gear you can, heroics should be pretty easy by now, and of course kara is 22 badges (i think) for a full clear.

when to melee?2010-03-20 00:00:00In a group I would never melee except to escape or get a killing blow on a passing mob. In the group should be a warrior/rogue for that job.
When soloing (unless I need to lvl up a weapon skill) I only melee if by chance my pet looses aggro and the mob comes to me with low health (too lazy to feign and run away).
For PVP you will need to melee to escape all the time... or die. So for PVP should be two hand slow weapon spamming wing clip to escape (this is where your weapon skill comes into play). You will want to get the biggest one hit you can when you are escaping.

Our guild downed Curator last night for the nth time, and for the first time, he dropped the T4 glove token. There were 3 of us in line to roll on it (2 Hunters and a Warlock). First Hunter rolled...low roll. Warlock rolled...mid 40s. I rolled...52. I sent the raid leader a /w before I rolled asking them to not distribute the token to me just yet if I were to get the high roll. After I got the high roll, I sent the raid leader a /w again asking them to give them to the other Hunter. That's what they did, and I was satisfied with the outcome. (The Warlock regularly tops the damage meters, and the other Hunter does a good job skill-wise but could really use some gear upgrades). Huzzah! Our second group 1 Hunter got rid of their last green, my epic gloves from Heroic Mechanar still serve me well, and everyone is happy.
